Background
Innovation: Africa (iA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose team of dedicated problem solvers work together to bring solar and water technologies to rural communities in Africa.
Job Summary
Innovation: Africa is looking to hire an experienced Web Developer (Front and Back End) to be responsible to develop and design new features on iA’s in-house phone and web application, test, maintain and improve iA software and algorithms, and to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues. The employee will be required collaborate with Innovation: Africa’s team of in-house engineers and must understand the need to work in a team environment. He/She will be asked to oversee the installation of remote devices across countries, and plan and monitor ongoing maintenance with our teams in Africa.
The position is full-time based in Herzliya, Israel.

Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Ruby on Rails
• Highly proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proven experience using Linux and MySQL
• Experience in React Native, Realm database and Typescript (advantage)
• Must be fluent in English, reading, writing and speaking
