Marketing Content Writer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced content writer to enhance our marketing efforts, and to assist with day-to-day writing and editing of marketing, product and sales materials.

We are a small and growing team so your responsibilities may ebb and flow depending on immediate needs and longer term goals. Responsibilities will include creating copy for marketing and sales efforts (proposals, blog content, social media), conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles and sales material. If you have experience in marketing writing, are troubled when you read poor copywriting, and have an incredible eye for detail, we want to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce clear and well-edited marketing copy to promote our products/services
Prepare proofread and edit well-thought out blog content considering our immediate and long-term goals
Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
Promote content on social media
Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Update website content as needed
Research new topics to find insights that provide our readers with new, useful information and advice

EXPERIENCE

You have the confidence, ability and strength to produce in-depth materials with the perfect blend of creative and technical writing skills
Proven work experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role
Portfolio of published articles
Experience doing research using multiple sources
Perfectionist level writing and editing skills (in English) with a very strong attention to detail
Ability to work with a fast-paced team, strong time management and efficiency skills, and ability to meet deadlines
